Launch of Railway Empire Pre-Purchase on Steam and Closed Beta."You’ll also need to hire and manage your workforce if you want to ensure an efficient train service, whilst also develop over 300 technologies ranging from mechanical improvements to the trains themselves to workplace infrastructures and advanced amenities as you progress through five eras of technological innovations.Pre-purchase and Closed Beta on Steam/frequent updates to closed beta and release of Railway Empire It is like giving the best stuff in the game and keeping it away from players.ĭont want to start some angry post, but i really changed my mind about the game after finding out - i wonder how many of us expected this kind of irrational (seriously, what tycoon game have this?) age system. wtf?įrom what i noticed, game is awesome - tons of interesting things, different eras with different research, trains etc., management is also very interesting, but finding out i will be able to reach only, how much, 20% of tech progress in one gameplay. This kinda explains why time/research goes so slowly compared to economic expansion (it is possible to own whole map after 20-30 years of game), and why boosts are so numerous (researched techs from all eras would be too overpowered when combined, which would be fine if researches would work only for given era) but still. What? So if i chose 1830, i wont be able to unlock techs from 1850 after reaching that year?
